On Thursday last week Uns had organised to meet up with James Egan after work around the Shoreditch area, so after finishing up at the office I popped out with John and Andrew for a couple at the Barley Mow and waited for Uns to get into town before making our way down to Shoreditch High Street to meet up with James. We decided to head over to Brick Lane and get ourselves a curry, always a winner for Thursday night. We went back again to City Spice but didn't think the food so quite as good as last time, but still filled us up. From Brick Lane we walked up to Brew Dog for a few tasty IPA's there and then called it a night and headed home. After not making plans for Friday night, I landed up stopping in at Brew Dog again for Zsolt's leaving drinks, only since it was basically on the way to the station and home. Had a couple of cold ones there and then legged it home.

Yesterday morning Uns and I were just about around the house until mid afternoon when I headed out down to Putney to watch the SA vs New Zealand game at The Larrik Inn. It turned into one of the more exciting games of rugby with our final winning penalty coming in the second last minute from 55m out to beat the All Blacks by 27 points to 25. After the game I missioned back home, grabbed a shirt and jacket and then headed through to Shoreditch with Uns for dinner at Amici Miei, which was good, especially once we were moved from the most inconvenient table in there. After dinner, others were at the Queen of Hoxton for James' birthday so we made our way there and met Lorenzo and Laura en route. Stayed there for a while but definitely the worst place in Shoreditch in my opinion... not a fan!

Braai at Home

Today was just an easy day around the house, Uns was out with Megan at a wedding fair in town so I was just chilling out at home. We decided to have a braai this evening, which I reckon could potentially be one of the last for the year, but I'm sure I'll try squeeze at least one more in before the winter properly sets in!
