Thursday night was another of the Breakfast Club dinners organised by Lorry out in Fulham at Rodizio Lebanon. Similar to Rodizio Preto I guess, but apparently with a more Lebanese influence, or so they say. Not everyone could make it and Uns was at home with Tommy, Dennis and Brendon but good to catch up with Fish, Lozzie, Matt, Paul, Carol, Lorenzo, Laura, Duncs and Martin.

Then yesterday was the Pearl Jam gig up in Milton Keynes which I'd bought tickets to months ago and had been looking forward to it ever since. I took a half day at work and headed up to Euston, grabbed a bite to eat and then met up with Gav & Jane as well as Chereen & Darren, who were over from South Africa for a holiday. We got the fast train up to Milton Keynes then walked the 2km to the bowl and waited there by the grass for Monique and Simon who had gotten the slow train up.

The supporting bands were Off! and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, but before they came on stage, Eddie Vedder appeared and did an unannounced acoustic version of 'Porch' for the crowd which was rather cool. And then the two support bands followed to get the crowd warmed up. Pearl Jam played for over three hours and ticked off all their hits - definitely one of the best gigs I've seen them at, and definitely the best venue I've been to. Just like being at an afternoon festival really!

Over the gig we made our way back to the station and got caught up in the masses all trying to get back to London. Even after a few trains came through, the crowds hardly reduced. Eventually the seven of us decided to grab a taxi and head back down to London. After getting a bus home from Euston, Tommy and Dennis were still up so I landed up staying up with them, and then Tommy for a few hours before calling it a morning night.
