Last Friday night, after popping into Borough Market on way home, I decided to try my luck at doing a fish braai. Never attempted anything other than chicken or steaks, but decided to throw a couple of sea bass on the grill for a change.

On Saturday the plan was to head through to Epsom for Derby Day, but with the weather having turned and the rain coming down, we decided to cancel it and make other plans. It worked out alright as the guys were having their annual V5R band practise so I made my way through to the Borough Studios and met up with them towards the end of their practise. After struggling to take any photos with the heat in there and a steamed up camera lens, we they finished up and we all headed down to The George Inn for a couple of post-practise beers.

After a round at the George in the sun, Duncs and Paul headed home while myself, Si and Will decided on Nandos for lunch by London Bridge then walked to Waterloo and grabbed the train down to Putney. Once in Putney we headed down the high street to The Coat & Badge where we later met up with Fish, Loz, Matt and Bianca. After a while at The Coat & Badge, I left to get the last train home, but not before stopping in at The Putney Kitchen before making my way up to the station.

Sunday morning, since it was yet another fantastic sunny day, Uns and myself were up early and made our way down to The London Particular for a coffee and then onto the shops there by New Cross. We had invited Noel and Megan round for a braai, so after grabbing a few necessities we headed home to sort the house before they pulled in. The afternoon was spent outside in the garden having a braai followed by a walk down to Peckham Rye and up to Frank's Cafe & Campari Bar for the rest of the evening until last rounds were called and Uns and I figured we'd head home. After getting through Monday, Tuesday was a lot better, followed by an evening out at the Devonshire Terraces near to Liverpool Street for Duncan and Laurie's engagement party. A crowd out that night, and most of us stayed until the end which was good form for a Tuesday night. Then Wednesday night, we had Una's cousin Caroline over for dinner with her husband Paul and their two kids - Otis and Isaac.

After a busy week, we've got tonight free of plans and then got Greg staying with us for the weekend. He arrived into Heathrow this morning for two days of work then staying with us until Monday evening, so no doubt it's going to be a busy sightseeing and catching up weekend, so should be good!!
