After our scenic drive through the mountain pass on Saturday evening from Kerry, we arrived into Castlehaven just before sunset so decided to head out for a quick spin before dinner but landed up just missing the sun behind the clouds. After dinner we just chilled at the house for the evening.

Yesterday was little Jack's Christening Day, so myself, Una, the Boss and Biddy made our way up to Cork to Claire and Michael's house first and then to the church for the actual Christening. After the Christening, which Jack stayed awake for the entire time, we all made our way to Rochestown Park Hotel for lunch. After eating, we headed back to Claire and Michael's for coffee and cake before getting on the road back down to West Cork.

This morning after breakfast Uns and myself headed out towards Clon and stopped in at The Celtic Ross Hotel for a bit of a look around and ideas for the wedding next year. We'd booked it a couple of months back so figured we'd pop our heads in and chat to Neil, the GM, as well as take a few photos to make it easier when it comes to decoration and planning later in the year.

After the hotel we headed back down to Bawn and popped out with Claire and Jack for coffee and lunch at Apple Bettie's in Skibb. Unfortunately the weather had turned a bit and wasn't nearly as nice as earlier, so the idea of popping into Liss Ard to see the bluebells didn't happen. From Skibb, we headed home, quickly packed, grabbed our bags and headed up to Cork Airport where we're sitting now having a nice cold beer to round up the long weekend away in Ireland.
