On Wednesday night, since it was nice and warm outside, Uns and I headed home, spent some time outside in the garden doing a bit of work there, then decided to head to the Montague Arms for a quick dinner. However, they stopped serving at 9, so we landed up heading down the road to New Cross House for pizza instead.

Then on Friday I dashed out after work and straight down to London Bridge and Borough Market to pick up some steaks and boerewors for the weekend. Once home, Duncs and Laurie made their way round for dinner, which needless to say involved an evening outdoors, braaing, and finished off with a couple of sneaky rums.
Yesterday morning Uns and myself headed through to Borough Market with the intention of meeting up with Noel and Megan who were three hours late, as Noel didn't quite get the concept of 'breakfast time' :) But we still grabbed ourselves a cheese sandwich, watch the 'The Tweed Run' pass by and then sat by the fountains in More London enjoying the crowds around us. Once they arrived we met up at Rabot 1745 for a coffee before having to leave and head back home.

No sooner had we made it home did Haig and Caitlin arrive. The plan was to chill out and have a braai at home in the afternoon. The rest of the jukkas had organised a braai around at new FTG, so after having eaten and a couple of beers, we organised a taxi around to Putney and met up with Loz, Will, Si (just briefly), Fish, Duncs and Martin. After a little while at FTG, when others started to head home, the four of us decided to stop off down at The Railway, followed by a couple of hours at Lost and Co. where the music was actually alright and had a pretty good night there. We followed that up with a brief stop at What A Chicken before catching a taxi back to the Pecks.

This morning we all got going fairly slowly, but with the weather being amazingly sunny outside, we had to make the most of the day outdoors. After a coffee in the garden at home, the four of us headed over to Greenwich, grabbed some food in the market then chilled out for the afternoon in the park. After a bit of a walk around the park, we tried to find a pub with a beer garden that wasn't 105% full and eventually came across the Lord Hood pub where we stopped in for one even though it was on the main street.

After the pub we caught the bus home, Haig and Caitlin left to drive back south and Uns and myself had a roast for dinner. Really was an awesome outdoor weekend, and meant to be similar weather tomorrow as well. Only a three day week coming up and then off to Ireland on Wednesday night!
