Yesterday morning we had decided to keep it free to soak up a bit of the Cape Town sun, but before that we thought we'd head into town for a coffee and a bit of a stroll. We caught a taxi from the hotel over to Truth Coffee in Buitenkant Street and this time it turned out to be the correct coffee shop which we'd seen online. And even better, they served us a decent flat white which hasn't quite taken off as much as in Shoreditch London. After our coffee we took a walk down the road to the Castle of Good Hope and then onto Greenmarket Square.

The folks were at Green Market Square so met up with them briefly, managed to find Uns her ostrich egg and then all headed over to the waterfront. We took a bit of a walk through the food and craft market before grabbing a taxi back to the hotel. We'd hardly spent much time up on the roof alongside the pool, so decided to use yesterday as our sun and pool day up on the roof.
After a good bit of time in the sun, the folks headed round and we all made our way over to Newlands and stopped in at Forries, something we'd been wanting to try fit in all week. The Lundies joined us as well for a beer, so at least we managed to get that ticked off the list. After Forries we made our way back to the Lundies place for a braai with Richard and Ruth and their three little ones, who I hadn't met before. And after working it out, it's actually been 13 years since I last would've seen Richard!

This morning, being our last day in Cape Town, decided we needed to get up early for sunrise to maximise the day. After a bit of time up on the roof, we quickly packed the bags and then headed off on the canal taxi into the waterfront. After a quick walk through the craft market, we headed upstairs to Spur so I could eventually get my lime milkshake :)

After the Spur, we caught the river taxi back to the hotel, caught our shuttle over to the airport, and now just in the Spur having a few beers before our flight back to Joburg. Hopefully my next trip back here will be in less then four years time, but definitely had an amazing week in the windy city!
