Just back down from our Lions Head Full Moon Rise and both knackered, but thoroughly enjoyed it. It did take us a bit longer than we initially thought, but so glad we did that. After getting dropped off at the base of the walk, it took us a couple of hours to get up to the top, including a couple of fixed steel ladders and a chain handrail section, both of which I'd forgotten about or avoided the last time I attempted to climb it.

By the time we got up to the top there was already a pretty good atmosphere up there, people with sound systems, beers and wine. We were definitely under prepared for the walk, with just a small bottle of water each so really had to make that last. After watching the sunset over the ocean we decided to slowly start making our way down and watch the moon rise while descending. Strangely enough it was pretty calm up on top and pretty darn windy half way down, so we just took our time getting down.

The folks and Lundies had been watching it from Signal Hill so they'd already left to go home, so Uns and myself grabbed a taxi back to the waterfront and straight into Ferryman's for a couple of well deserved beers and food. After eating and drinking there we headed back to the hotel for a shower and a good night's rest.
