The plan for this morning was to pop in and visit a couple of the Cape Town vineyards and then finish off our peninsula drive along Chapman's Peak which is better in the earlier part of the day with the sun behind us. At least Uns was feeling better again, so after breakfast and chilling by the pool, the folks picked us up from the hotel and headed back to the Lundies. From their place the six of us headed out to Groot Constantia which is the oldest wine estate in South Africa dating back to 1679 when Simon van der Stel of the Dutch East India Company obtained the land. After sometime around Groot Constantia and the manor house, we continued south and stopped in at the Cape Point Vineyards which is unique positioned in the South Peninsula and offers a great view of the ocean while being surrounded by the mountains.

From there we made our way over to Chapman's Peak and took a drive along there, stopping occasionally for a few photos and to admire the view overlooking the bay. Towards the end of the drive we pulled into the Chapman's Peak Hotel near to Hout Bay for lunch and sat outside on the terrace having their high recommended seafood special.

After Chapman's Peak we continued our drive through Camps Bay, Clifton, Sea Point, Green Point and finally into town for mom and Adele to grab some items from the street vendors in Adderley Street. From there we headed up Kloof Nek and along Signal Hill Road towards the base of Lions Head for our full moon hike up there this evening. I think the folks and Lundies said they'd head over to the end of Signal Hill to watch the sunset and moon rise while we mission up and down Lions Head. Let's hope this time I actually get to the top and not run out of time like back in 2010 - but we should definitely have time on our side tonight!
