On Sunday morning Uns and myself were awake early for sunrise up on the rooftop pool. Our hotel was a little way away from the V&A but still had a great view overlooking the harbour with Table Mountain directly behind us. After a few shots of sunrise and some breakfast downstairs, we were picked up by the folks and Lundies and headed out for our sightseeing trip.

We started off heading up and over Kloof Nek and down towards Camps Bay. We landed up stopping along Victoria Road after spotting a massive school of dolphins just off the coastline. None of us had seen a school quite that big before and landed up drawing quite a crowd along the road. From there we headed along to Hout Bay and stopped for a stroll along the beach. After our walk, we made our way over Ou Kaapse Weg, stopped near to Muizenberg to pick up the wedding invites then continued along the coastal road, past Fish Hoek and Simon's Town until we got to Boulders Beach and the penguin colony.

After Boulders we continued south along the peninsula drive and into the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park. We first stopped off down near the water's edge for our lunch break before continuing onto Cape Point to climb the 120 steps up to the old lighthouse on top.

Unfortunately we ran out of time and decided not to finish the rest of the Chapman's Peak drive, rather save it for another day when the sun's behind us instead of driving into it. From there we headed back towards the Waterfront, stopping off a few times for the odd photo or three. Uns and I were dropped off at the V&A and decided to go on the Cape Wheel (Ferris wheel), followed by dinner at Tasca De Belem Restaurant which had an awesome view overlooking the waterfront at night.

Yesterday morning we decided on an early start and grab a taxi out to Truth Coffee which we'd seen online as a recommended coffee stop. Unfortunately it wasn't their main branch, but grabbed ourselves a coffee anyway before heading over the pedestrian bridge to Long Street and back to the hotel. Unfortunately Uns wasn't feeling well at all by the time we got back, so she decided to try sleep it off instead of fighting it. After getting picked up by the folks we headed out to Signal Hill, Green Point Stadium and then onto Camps Bay for a walk and a gelato milkshake. The wind had picked up massively which was a bit annoying, but the scenic backdrop of Lions Head, Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles made up for it :) After Camps Bay we headed back and stopped briefly in Clifton then continued onto the Waterfront Harbour for a bit of a drive and walk around there.

From the Waterfront we headed back to the hotel to check up on Uns and then head out to the Lundies for Mexican for dinner and then finally back to the hotel after a bite to eat.
