Yesterday morning we popped up to visit Greg and see little Rory while Ethan was at school and chilled up there for a little while. Greg had some vouchers for car hire so tried calling them but turned out they had no cars anywhere available for hire. So off we went with dad to Avis and turned out they too didn't have any cars. And to add to it, neither did Hertz. Which we found rather amusing, considering they're all "rental car" companies. Oh well. We decided instead to head home and wait for mom to get back to use her car. Eventually we got on the road and headed out to Lesedi Village and checked into our room, which was the deluxe room in the Nguni section.

A bit later we started the cultural tour which began with a video introduction into the various African tribes, followed by a walk through the different tribal villages with a talk and explanation about each one and how they differ from one another. Our tour was fairly quiet with just five of us on it, including myself and Uns. The tour finished off with a dancing and singing show in the Traditional Dance Boma.

After the show, we made our way down to the restaurant for the buffet dinner. There were just three of us for the dinner and certainly enough food, including crocodile and ostrich. After eating, Uns and I grabbed a beer or two from the bar and sat outside around the fire for sometime chatting away to the locals who were enjoying a beer as well as the football in TV inside. After our beers we headed back to the room and chilled out there for the evening.

This morning we started off with a coffee outside our hut in the sun before making our way down to the restaurant for breakfast, where we were the only ones eating. We just happened to time our tour yesterday perfectly when it was fairly quiet which was great - better then fighting through a crowd to try see what was going on up front! After eating we stopped in at the shop for a few too many curios before checking out and heading over to Mangwanani African Spa, about 20 minutes drive away.

Even though Mangwanani was a fairly short drive away, I wasn't too happy about crossing the low lying bridge over the Hennops River, and after being unable to call them (phone lines down), we decided to go the long way round which took almost an hour with all the construction along that road. Eventually we got there, about an hour later than placed, rather stressed and annoyed but still managed to get our three massages treatments followed by a later than usual lunch. It was all pretty relaxing once we'd relaxed and started to unwind, especially with all the treatment huts nestled among the valley of the Hennops River and the Schurveberg Mountain range.

After our half day at the spa and our lunch, we decided to try attempt the bridge and from the other side it looked a lot more passable than at first, so coming home was fairly easy. Then tonight we were just at home and chilling out, nothing much planned.
