Last week was fairly hectic with the build up to the holidays, always plenty of last-minute things to get done. But once Friday afternoon hit, I finished up at with and grabbed the train over to Heathrow. What I wasn't expecting was the craziest and busiest airport ever!! Not entirely sure why, but apparently the UK schools finished up that afternoon, so clearly every parent and their family decided to fly out of Heathrow. After going through security, our flight was reported to be delayed by an hour, so Uns and myself settled into Oriel, a French Grande Brasserie, for some beer and a bottle of Prosecco while we waited.

The reason for the delay was due to fermented fruit or vegetables being spilled in the cargo hold, which we very quickly noticed while waiting in the gangway. We had hoped it would improve once on the plane, but no, it was everywhere throughout the plane. One of the most awful smells you could imagine - a cross between feet, cheese and sick. Definitely not pleasant! They managed to make up a bit of time during the flight, arriving just a bit later than expected. The folks and Bev were at the airport waiting to greet us, and later on once home, Grandpa made his way up as well as Greg and Ethan. We just chilled out for the afternoon, until Greg and Ethan left to head through to the hospital to fetch Kim and Rory and take them home. That's when myself and Uns decided on an afternoon sleep to try and feel a bit more refreshed after that flight.

Then last night we all headed up to Greg and Kim for a little while to see the new little guy - the youngest baby I've ever seen :) After our visit up there, we made our way home via Steers, as is the routine for any trip back home. Then last night just chilled at home and landed up having a fairly early night and catch up on a bit of sleep.

This morning we popped up to Greenstone, first to Mr. Price Home then over to the mall and grabbed a coffee and bite to eat there. Greg messaged while up there to say he was at Jimmy Jungle with Ethan, so we met up with them briefly to say hi. The afternoon was just around the house with Bev, grandpa and Paddy over and later on popped up to Greg again to see Rory and play a bit with Ethan. From their place, Uns and I headed over to Nic and Kris for dinner there which was good to catch up with them again!
