On Friday afternoon, after the internet went down at work, John, myself, Shannon and Syd decided to head down to BOXPARK Shoreditch for a couple of drinks to once again price the new Xbox, which turned into a good few beers plus John actually buying one this time round. From BOXPARK, after Syd and Shannon had left, John and myself made our way over to Barrio East on Shoreditch High Street for Catchpole's leaving drinks, where I only stayed for a couple. I had big plans to go cycling the Saturday morning so didn't plan on staying out too late.
Well those Saturday morning cycle plans never made it further than just plans. Uns was away in Ireland for the weekend visiting Baby Jack, so after getting up fairly early and deciding against a cycle in the cold weather, I landed up spending the entire day lazing about on the couch watching sports - first a few games of the T20 World Cup, followed by Rugby League and then a bit of the Super 15. Definitely not my most productive day, but that's what Saturdays are for after all :)
Then yesterday I had booked a full day meetup with a group called Big Smoke Photography who focused on street photography and were doing a meetup around Shoreditch which I'd been wanting to do for ages, basically since we'd moved offices there. Yann was running the show and after meeting up for a coffee at Shoreditch Grind, we made our way around the streets of Shoreditch.
Up until lunchtime we were on our feet snapping away, and then after a lunch break at Troy Cafe Bistro on Kingsland Road, we headed back to his studio in Haggerston for a few hours of post-processing and editing the shots. Definitely learnt a fair bit and picked up some good tips, now to just practise and improve my street photography portfolio :)
