Thursday after work I headed back to Peckham Rye and met up with Uns where we got the bus over to Camberwell for dinner at Dan and Emma's. I hadn't met Emma and we'd hardly caught up with Dan the previous year, but was a good night of food, wine and some Jamaican rum to end it off.

Friday I had our annual conference over in Moorgate, which was alright I thought, probably not one I'd go back to next year, but got a few OK talks out of it. I did land up leaving slightly early during the last talk to meet up with Carol and get the engagement ring from her which was eventually ready, and certainly wasn't going to wait until after the weekend to pick it up :) After getting the ring from her in what seemed like a dodgy deal on the streets of Tottenham Court Road, I dashed home to drop it off then head out to Putney to The Normanby to watch the Wales France game with the jukkas. It wasn't quite as exciting as it started off to be, with Wales taking it away for a convincing wing. After sometime there, we headed back to Parklife for a few hours before taxiing it home.

Yesterday morning we were just at home, and the plan was to head into town in the afternoon for the rugby then onto Lozzie's birthday. But I decided to surprise Uns with the ring and another proposal, and managed another 'yes' so fairly happy with two yeses :) She obviously loved the ring immediately - I think the high pitch scream and falling to the floor gave that away! We were just unbelievably impressed with how it turned out, way better than we could have ever expected.

After that excitement, it was off to the station and into town for the England Ireland game. We had thought of watching it at The Porterhouse, but was completely rammed which we had kind of guessed anyway. So instead we found The Lemon Tree, which had a good few people in it but a lot quieter than Porterhouse and managed to grab ourselves a table upstairs. Noel, Megan and Vera joined us there for the game, which unfortunately saw England beat Ireland by 13 points to 10.

After the game and a couple more to drink, we left the Lemon Tree and made our way over to Greek Street to Zebrano for Lozzie's birthday. Certainly a good crowd out, even though it's probably not my favourite venue, was good catching up with everyone, except Will who clearly hadn't recovered from Friday night. After the night at Zebrano, Uns and myself left in search of the night bus and came across Hung's which was still open and serving, so stopped in for some crispy Peking duck which definitely beats a late night kebab. Will keep that place in mind next time we're out late in Soho!

This morning Carol came around and after her and Uns were back from town, the three of us headed over to The Telegraph for a much looked forward to Sunday roast for lunch. Still can't beat their roasts anywhere else! The rest of the afternoon was just spent chilling out at home and a bit of TV before the Sunday night blues set in.
