On Thursday evening I caught up with Keith who was down in London for the evening. He'd been over from Luxembourg the whole week for work and based in Peterborough, but decided to head down to London on Thursday evening for a bit of a catch up. It was just him, myself, Charlie and Vincent, the others already had plans, so after meeting up at Kings Cross we decided on the Big Chill House just down Pentonville Road for food and a few drinks.

Friday evening was Valentine's Day and just had a quiet evening at home, neither of us were too phased about going out, especially with the Valentine Tempest (storm) raging outside, it made sense to rather stay indoors and chill out in front of the TV. On Saturday, after the gym and some house admin during the day, I headed off to Putney to meet up with Will for a couple of beers, no real reason, just 'cos it was Saturday night. We started off at the Coat and Badge but quickly moved on after one just because of how packed it was. Not the right place to chill out for a couple of quiet ones. From there we popped down the road to The Jolly Gardeners which was a bit quieter and settled in there for one. Since we had started a mini pub crawl we figured we'd move on after our pint there and made our way to the Normanby, where we got lazy and didn't move from. We didn't stay too late, but managed to time it to get the last train home.

Yesterday was such a nice day, surprising considering how rubbish Friday night was - calm, mild and perfect blue skies. So Uns and myself figured we'd go for a night walk towards East Dulwich and back. We headed out past Nunhead and stopped in at Bambuni for coffee and a bite to eat and then continued on towards Peckham Rye common.

We did a bit of a walk through and around the common and the Japanese Garden there, before zigzagging through the streets and on to Lordship Lane where we stopped in at Le Chandelier for an afternoon cake and coffee break. From there we headed back towards East Dulwich, cut through the streets to Bellenden Road and finally home for a Sunday night roast dinner. Glad we were able to make full use of a decent day outside, you certainly don't get too many of them in February!
