Last Friday evening after work I met home Uns at home and we decided to go for pizza down the road at No. 178 which we thought did pizza, but decided instead to carry on to New Cross House instead for pizza and a couple of drinks there. Then Saturday was fairly chilled out with gym in the morning and a bit of house admin like sorting out the front room, the sofa, etc. But glad that's done and sorted now. Sunday we headed out into town, stopped by Nandos for lunch, then took a good walk along the South Bank for the afternoon before heading home.

Last week was a bit of a struggle, but been the first week back it was always expected to be I guess. We were out on Thursday evening over at Sarah and Neal's place which is only a couple of minutes walk from home, so nice and handy indeed. Yesterday I met up with Haig and Caitlin in town who were up for the afternoon to watch a show, and after coffee with them I met up with Una and we headed over to Hatton Garden to do some engagement ring shopping. Hatton Garden was recommended to us by Carol and is this crazy street in north west London which is most famous for being London's jewellery quarter and centre of the UK diamond trade. We spent a while there, found one which Uns liked, a marquise cut, but said we'd spend the week thinking it over before deciding anything. From there we made our way into town for dinner at Mother's Mash, followed by a couple of drinks at Caffe Concerto near to Piccadilly Circus.

This morning was a fairly early start with a bit of house prep before Sarah, Neal, Lizzy and Mike came over for a champagne breakfast. They were on their way through London between their wedding and honeymoon, so Uns and Sarah decided to do breakfast this morning for a catch up. This afternoon was just spent lazing around the house, which has been much like the rest of the week, but guess it could always be expected for the first couple of weeks of any new year.
