Last week was rather quiet, with us not getting up to much, trying to take it a bit easy before the Christmas period which always tends to be crazy and plenty going on. So quite welcome the downtime beforehand. Then on Saturday morning myself and Uns headed through to Borough Market for a bit of a walk around, some food shopping and one of their awesome toasted cheese sandwiches for brunch! After a good bit of time around Borough and the area, we made our way home in time to get ready and head straight back out

Some time back Una had invited us both around to Park Life for dinner and volunteered Fish to do the cooking. We were joined by Ally, Martin as well as Will, so a good crowd of us there for dinner, and later on by Lozzie and James who were up the high street. After eating and a good few beers and some wine we decided to call it a night and grab ourselves a taxi and head home. Sunday started off with a bit of house cleaning in preparation for BigWill moving in for just under two weeks. He's towards the end of his hobo lifestyle and flies off to S.A. next week, so until then we're blessed with his company. Should be fun though. After welcoming Will, a bite to eat and some coffee, Uns and myself headed off over to Old Kent Road for a bit of house shopping and managed to find and buy ourselves a sofa, which was a lot easier than we expected it to be! So that'll hopefully come before Christmas!

On Tuesday night we had tickets to Micky Flanagan's stand up show at the O2, along with Noel and Megan. We met up near the station beforehand, grabbed some dinner at Wagamama, then made our way into the O2 for the show, which really was brilliantly funny. So good to watch some good live comedy again!

Last night I met up with Tim and Matt at The Craft Beer Social Club in Shoreditch, which was originally going to be a bit of a Sponge reunion but just turned out to be the three of us. The pop up pub is only around in Shoreditch for a month, and follows a very successful residency in London Fields. It's taken over a former hairdressers to offer guests a new beer-forward concept of socialising. The menu is ever-changing and offers a good range of Great British beers from around the country from small and independent breweries. Was good to catch up with both of them, and all ended the evening a lot more sober than most of our other catch ups! But probably best being a Wednesday night only :)
