It's been a busy last week with something being on almost every night, mostly around Peckham, Shoreditch and Putney - hence the title of this post. Last Monday evening I met up with Uns in Peckham Rye to enquire about joining the gym there, figured it was time to get back into some sort of fitness again. But after meeting her and picking up a gum pamphlet, we decided to go for dinner and thought we'd try Bellenden Road and came across the Victoria Inn pub which seemed alright, so settled on dinner and some time there. Not quite as healthy as the evening we had planned, but there's always another night to start the healthkick :)

Then on Tuesday after work it was Jake's leaving do just down at the Barley Mow. There was a pretty good turn out from the office, at least for the first couple of rounds. We stayed on at the Barley Mow for most of the evening until they closed, at which point John, Josh and myself decided to move to the Roadtrip Bar for a couple more to finish up the night, which is a bit blurry, but did involve a visit to Best Mangal Kebab and Cafe before finding myself a taxi and heading home.

Last Wednesday was a bit of a struggle getting up and heading through to work, as well as being through the day, but I survived... can't really complain as it was all self inflicted I suppose. Wednesday and Thursday evenings were fairly quiet ones just at home then Friday I landed up in Putney. I say landed up as I originally didn't have any plans then Fish and Diego mentioned they were out at Lost & Co. so after heading home and grabbing a bite to eat I made my way over and joined them there. It was just the three of us at first, then Lozzie stopped by later followed by Uns who'd been out in town meeting Megan and lastly by Si. After sometime there, we left the others who went to KFC while we settled on What-A-Chicken before hopping on the bus home. Not bad for a night with no plans initially.

Saturday was very much a chilled out day at home, with some admin jobs and a few DIY things to do around the house. Then that evening I headed out to Shoreditch for a little while to meet up with Si, Will, Lorenzo, Mark and Seamus who were all at Bar Kick for their friend Shaun's birthday, aka the Oliver lookalike. Unfortunately I didn't get to even play a single game of foosball, the tables were all too busy and as soon as we got to one the coin slot in it seemed stuck, so landed up giving up on playing a game. Oh well, next time...

On Sunday we had invited Noel and Megan around for a roast for lunch, do after getting the house in order in the morning, they arrived around half 2 and spent the afternoon eating, drinking and even landed up watching snippets of the War of the Buttons, which was a good laugh. Was good to catch up with them again, hadn't seen them I'm a while.

Then Tuesday night was yet another Shoreditch night out, with it being the private viewing evening of the AntArcticArt exhibition at the Leonard Street Gallery just around the corner from work. Jake was also going, so I met up with him after work at the Barley Mow for a quick drink then we made our way over to the gallery on Leonard Street. It was alright, all very professionally done I thought, with a range of prints from her Arctic and Antarctic travels as well as a tasty spread of canapés, snacks and wine for everyone who was there. We had a good look around, checked out the prints, had a few snacks and some wine then decided to call it a night. All proceeds go to charity, so all for a good cause I guess.

After a fairly busy week or two, last night and tonight just been fairly quiet, other than some packing tonight for our weekend over in Poland for Tom and Anna's wedding, which I'm looking forward to. We fly back Monday evening, so a nice long three day weekend coming up!
