Today was our much looked forward to, late summer bank holiday. At least we felt a bit more alive today compared to the waste of a day that was yesterday. After a bit if breakfast at home, Uns headed out to gym and I decided to hop on the bike and take a ride into town and back to do a test run of the cycle journey to work and back. I've been a bit slack recently with the riding to work, but at least I've (kinda) figured out the journey from Peckham to work and back.

The weather today was incredible, perfect for a back holiday, especially considering yesterday and Saturday were pretty miserable! So once back at the house, we decided to head towards New Cross to try out the unimaginatively named No. 178 - a fairly new pizza place (we think pizza) on New Cross Road which Uns had spotted the other day. Unfortunately they were closed for the day, so instead we continued onto New Cross House who do a decent pizza and have a nice outside area out the back where we got to enjoy the afternoon's sun.

After a bite to eat there, we made our way up to Telegraph Hill Park, grabbed an ice-cream and chilled out on the grass for the best part of the afternoon. It was fairly busy up there, guessing everyone had the same area. After watching the sun set behind the city, we made our way down the hill to Chai's Garden Thai Restaurant for dinner - too nice an evening to be stuck indoors :)

I'm certainly glad the good weather was around today and not yesterday, and figured we made the most of it being out and about. The depressing thing is that it's the last bank holiday until Christmas, which isn't great, but on a more positive note at least it's only a four day week coming up. I guess I can handle that...
