Friday night was our annual work summer party, and this time instead of it being on a boat we had it at the London Zoo, which I'd never been to before. We finished work a bit earlier than usual for a Friday and all headed off to Camden Town, about a ten minute walk from there. We had about an hour free time walking around the zoo before it shut and our party kicked off. An hour was probably just enough time to see a few of the main attractions before making our way back to take advantage of the now-open bar!

We had a private area for our party, which was a fairly big size but did have to accommodate the London, Sheffield and Berlin offices, so a good number of us. They had put on a bbq for dinner, but before that there were outdoor games in the grass area, including a foosball table and a Bucking Bronco, or Mechanical Bull which I'd only ever seen in TV but never actual ridden one. Some of the work lot were fairly good and others rather useless. I fitted into the useless category, didn't last long on that thing at all! The weather was great for the evening, there has been talk of rain but glad that kept away! After a good few hours at the zoo, once the bar had closed, everyone decided to make their way down to Camden Station and up to Proud at the Camden Stables. I started to queue but decided against going on, figured I'd had a few plus had a fairly big day on the Saturday with Si's pub golf, so probably a wise decision.
Yesterday started off a bit slow, feeling a bit rubbish and sorry for myself. Plus the weather was awful, so the thought of walking around 18 holes pubs of golf wasn't awfully high on my list. But after a fry up for breakfast, Uns and I headed off to Putney and met them at hole #5 at the Coat & Badge. The rain had hardly eased up, but the lot of them had started off well and caught up a bit of time. From the Coat & Badge, we missioned down to The Rocket, then the Normanby, the Cat's Back and Queen Adelaide. We had to miss out on the Adventure Golf in Wandsworth Park due to the rain, but made up the stop at the Hop Pole instead.

From there it was over to the Grand Union, the Alma, the Ship then up to the Duke on the Green, Aragon House, the White Horse and finally to the Larrick. So even though we tee'd off a bit late, we still managed to catch up a bit, and got through thirteen holes by the end. Excluding Thai Square which was technically the 19th hole, or the clubhouse I suppose. Unfortunately only myself, Uns and Will managed to get in. We were ahead of the others and walked straight in, where as the bouncers at the door were having none of the others, so landed up just been a fairly short stop in at Thai Square this time round. Once we realised they weren't getting in we called it a night and hopped in a cab home.

Today was a pretty slow lethargic day around the house, with the weather still rather miserable outside but perfect for an indoors lazy day. Not much going on other than a whole lot of TV, but at least it's a bank holiday weekend so we still got tomorrow to make up for today :)
