After a nice relaxing week with somewhere between average and disappointing weather over in Ireland, we were welcomed back into London with absolutely amazing summery weather. It had started towards the end of last week and unfortunately missed West Cork, but good to come home to some decent sunshine.

Clear Sunny Day

On Sunday, after staying in Putney on Saturday night, Uns and I started off with a coffee from Tried & True and then hopped on a bus into Clapham Junction. The excitement (for some of us) over here is the recent opening of Steers, after hearing rumours of it coming over for quite a few years, it's eventually made it here and officially opened on Saturday, so that was lunch sorted for Sunday. No questions asked :)

I'm glad to say that the King Steers burger tastes just like it does back in SA, so they certainly didn't compromise on taste, which would've been awful. Of course I'll need to head back again soon to double check this. You know, just to be sure!

After Steers we headed back to Una's place for the afternoon to chill out in front of the TV and watch the Wimbledon men's tennis final, between Murray and Djokovic. After a good few hours of amazing tennis which Murray (at last) won, we had some dinner then took a walk up Telegraph Hill to make the most of the last bit of Sunday late afternoon. It's always quite popular up there with everyone watching the sun disappear behind the London skyline.

Then last night it seemed too nice an evening to stay indoors, so jumped on my road bike and headed out to Richmond Park. I thought I'd take my camera with me and try snap a sunset picture instead of doing a full loop around the park. I probably could've managed a loop but didn't have my front lights with me, but at least I snapped a fairly decent sunset picture. Just nice to get out in this weather!

According to the forecast it's meant to be like this for the rest of the week and the weekend, so here's hoping. Uns and I have spoken about going away this weekend, maybe a camping trip or something similar, so will be looking at that later this week.
