This evening after work I met up with Uns and since she's in a hotel this week while they finalise the house, we weren't able to make or prep dinner at her place, so decided to find somewhere tasty to eat. We had spoken a few times about wanting a good chicken katsu curry, so from Shoreditch we made our way down to Tsuru in Bishopsgate. I didn't realise it was more of a lunch time takeaway place rather than a sit down diner, plus they were closed, so there went that idea. Instead of Japanese we decided to try out Tinseltown, a late night American Diner and Milkshake Bar.

From Bishopsgate we caught the bus over to Farringdon to Tinseltown. I had heard about it from Paul and Carol who go there a lot (well, to the one in West Hampstead) so was quite keen to try it out myself. They specialise in burgers, steaks, hotdogs, grills and milkshakes - everything you'd want and expect from an American Diner, with traditional booth seating and multiple flat screen TVs playing the latest music videos. As expected, I went for the burger with an Peanut M&M Chocolate Milkshake which I thought was really good. The place was quite a bit different to what I expected it to be, I guess when you have an idea of a place in your head without seeing it, it always looks a bit different when you're actually there. After dinner, we walked down to Farringdon Station and caught the train home.
