Last Sunday afternoon, after some classic TV watching of MacGyver and Knight Rider, I decided I needed a walk and to get fresh air. I figured I'd head down to the river and grab a couple of the sunset. I managed to get down in time, but the sun probably wasn't in the best place for the sunset I had planned on - over the river. So instead I grabbed a couple of the bridge which I'd want to attempt again in the day light.

Then tonight I headed out to East London towards the Isle of Dogs, in my second attempt to try get a night time photo of Canary Wharf and the financial district skyline. I had seen a few photos online which all seemed to be taken from Poplar Dock looking towards the City, so decided I'd head that way and try one or two for myself.

I had attempted that same picture last week Tuesday as well, but landed up walking around near Blackwall and East India Station for ages unable to find that viewing spot, and eventually gave up and went down. It so happened that I wasn't actually all that far from when I had to be, just didn't realise it. At least tonight I had done my research properly and found out how to get there first time round. I'm pretty happy with it, not quite my preferred style of landscapes or sea and mountains, but you got to mix them up a bit I guess :)
