On Friday we finished up at work at half 4 as some of the office were moving up to Old Street so to make it easier we all shut shop then. It seemed like a longer than usual week, I guess going out on a Monday has it's effect later in the week. But at least Friday was a shorter than usual day.

On Saturday I was up mid morning and headed into town for a bit of a photo opportunity. I basically wanted to snap a few in the Square Mile, which I hadn't done since last Xmas when Si and I headed through there. I started off at Borough Market, then over the bridge up to the old Leadenhall Market, the Lloyds Building as well as the Gherkin. I've recently seen quite a few posts and pictures online related to architectural photography so thought I'd give it a bash.

So not quite as impressive as the ones I've seen online, but certainly better than those from December last year. Still room for improvement though! After a half day there it was back over the river to London Bridge and up to Islington to the Chicken and Hen Theatre Bar where I met up with Uns to watch Ordinary Darkness, a play written by her housemate Sarah, about three squatters in a London house who create a fantasy world against capitalism, until things take a turn for the worst.

The play was good and I enjoyed it, considering I'm not usually a big fan of amateur drama productions, it was a good enjoyable couple of hours up there.

After the play it was back to Putney and up to Seamus' house for the Jukka's Christmas - since everyone was going to be away for most weekends leading up to Christmas, Saturday seemed the best day to all meet up for an early Christmas feast and of course presents! Most of the usual crowd made it through, some just briefly, but definitely good to catch up with everyone again before the festive season properly kicks off and suddenly it's January!

It was also the end of November on Friday so we decided that Saturday night would also symbolise the end of Movember. There were a few of us - me, Paul, Woolley and Tom - who has gone for Movember this year so we all managed to keep the beautiful mo's until then. Also, our team 'The MoNopolies' managed to raise £628 for men's health and prostate cancer which is a fairly impressive figure for just the three of us! Nicely done guys!

Then yesterday was a lazy start to the day with a nice sleep in while the weather outside was cold and miserable. Once up, it was over to Tried & True for a bunch, or rather a late breakfast, as well as a coffee or two. After eating, I headed off into town to Hyde Park and onto the Winter Wonderland for another one of those London Photowalks again, which this time had been planned in and around Winter z Wonderland.

We met up outside the entrance at around 4, just before it started getting dark then it was free walking and had a meet up point a couple of hours later. Unfortunately there were just way too many people for my liking, I guess Sunday afternoon and evening is probably the most popular tinge for families and others, and so the place was just swarmed with the crowds. I found to too annoying and didn't stay too long but rather fight my way through the crowds and leave as soon as I could. I figured I'd try maybe go back one evening when it was a bit less manic!
