After a fairly chilled out Friday evening, I got a call from Una requesting my DIY help, urgently. Her uncle Dennis and Tommy Eagan were staying with her the weekend and they decided to help out with a bit of DIY around the house, and that's where I was needed to give her a few minutes of downtime. After heading over to her place, it was straight over to B&Q to buy replacement light fittings and a new sink for the bathroom. The bathroom tap was fairly easy to replace, then came the job of pulling out the light fitting, re-writing the light and replacing the unit back into the roof. Then repeat for all 30 something lights.

We managed most of them on the Saturday, and those we didn't get to do we completed the Sunday. After a full day's work on Saturday, we downed tools and headed up to Skehans Freehouse on Telegraph Hill for a couple of welcomed beers after a full day's work.

By end of the Sunday I was pretty knackered, but definitely learnt plenty, both plumbing and how the lights are wired up there in the roof. Interesting stuff, but (they) certainly took it out of me!
