A few days ago I had read online on a blog that there would be a fireworks display by the Millbank Tower in Westminster. There were no further details posted about it, other than an apparent road closure and that it would most likely be from a barge on the river. So with almost no information to help with, Uns and I met up after work and headed down to towards the Millbank Pier in the hope of seeing these apparent fireworks.

As it turned out, they weren't making them up, and we got to see quite an impressive fireworks display over the river. There were very few people about, I guess since it hadn't been advertised anywhere, just word of mouth or people who read the same blog as I do. The whole display lasted about ten minutes only - it was quite rushed and condensed, but worth going through for. I could only guess they were testing something or try something new, which is why it wasn't advertised or mentioned anywhere else. But always good to see an impressive display of fireworks in town!
