On Saturday I met up with Si at the Captain Cook pub just down the road from home to watch the Championship game between South Africa and Australia which was being played in Pretoria. Bryan Habana scored a hat trick as SA managed to shrug off its struggles in the Rugby Championship with a 31-8 victory over Australia. That win on Saturday pushed us up to second, just behind New Zealand. It'll be interesting to see how we do next weekend against the All Blacks, not awfully confident, but we'll see. There was originally a plan to head out with Paul and Carol to Frank's Cafe and Campari Bar in Peckham Rye, but I threw a spanner in the works by heading to watch the rugby first, so figured we'll try the Sunday instead.

Yesterday was a day of doing very little, starting with a late sleep in then just chilled out around the house. We had hoped to try make it over to Frank's since it was their last night they'd be open until next year. But as the afternoon went on, the motivation to head out grew less and less and eventually we decided against it all together. If it was warmer or the weather was better we'd probably have gone, but much more cosy to stay inside. So instead we decided to move Uns' old fridge/freezer from the back garden out into the front yard to get it taken away. Not quite as exciting an evening as originally planned but at least that's that job done, and a lot easier than I expected it to be! And funny enough, when leaving for work this morning the fridge was gone - clearly someone passing by last night was in need of one, so that saved us having to get it taken away. Appreciate it!
