Rain, beers and cricket. Spot the odd one out there :-( Anyway, following on from that, last night I managed to get a free ticket to a T20 cricket game with Vaughan from work, so off we headed to Lords for the Surrey vs Middlesex game. Since it was the home ground advantage for Middlesex, I was hoping they'd win, but I wasn't particularly bothered, just hoping for a decent game of cricket.

First up to bat were the visitors, and they started off terribly with 4 early wickets down and only 32 runs on the board, and then they seemed to up their game a bit and put on a total of 149/4 with two unbeaten half centuries, despite rain briefly stopping play a few times in the evening. Next up were Middlesex for the chase, and they started off looking good until a sudden collapse in the batting order and were only able to manage a poor 99/8 when the rain arrived, putting them out of their misery with four scheduled overs remaining. So it landed up being rather cold, wet and rainy there - definitely not the best conditions for cricket, but still a good night out at Lords. Would have been much more enjoyable in the sun with an action packed game. Maybe next time...
