Last weekend, being Easter Sunday, we were invited over for brunch at Kim's aunt and uncle's place, so the whole family went along for the morning. They certainly put on a massive feast for everyone, no one there went hungry. It was a nice morning, just chilling in the sun and shade, plus Ethan was around (for some of the time and sleeping the rest) so again he was centre of attention!

After brunch, the folks and myself headed up to visit Grandpa for a while and had afternoon tea and cake up there. At this rate I'm going to head back to London double the size I am now, between the braais, eating out and cake :) But hey, when on holiday...

After the afternoon at Gramps, it was off home and had a quieter one in and for a chance didn't have a braai for dinner. Instead, we had so much meat left over from the other night, we just had that reheated. So basically another braai I guess :)

Monday morning we headed off to Sandton to take a walk around there and do a bit of shopping. More window shopping than actual shopping - not really something top on my list to do on holiday. But Sandton's always a good one to walk around in and do a bit of window shopping. After a morning around Sandton, it was back home for a quick and small braai outside in the garden in the sun. I spent the afternoon around the house then up to Greg for dinner - Kim had offered to cook and had invited Leigh and Jonty as well, so it was a good night up there with the five of us.

Tuesday morning I headed up to Greenstone with dad and stopped by matrix to pick up some RAM for the folks' computer which has recently decided to give in and grind to a halt, so I'm attempting to fix that in the short time I'm out. After a quick shop up there, dad dropped me off at Greg to visit him and Ethan, who were just chilling out at home. He was awake for just about the whole time, so got to spent some good quality time with him in the afternoon.

I stayed there until Ethan's bath and dinner time, when I left them to sort that out without me getting in their way, and I headed out to Nick's place which I hadn't yet seen. From there, myself, Nick, Kris and Chris headed off to Eastgate to Primi Piatti and met up with Al and Liz and Paul for dinner. Was good to see those guys again. Unfortunately Raul had left to head back down to Bloemfontein, so never managed to catch up with him. Dinner was fantastic, I just had the pizza, but really was good and even better to catch up with those crazy kids again, who I hadn't seen in ages, probably a year and a half ago. Time really does fly, but always good to catch up when back!

Wednesday morning was rather quiet around the house, and then the afternoon tuned into quite the family get together, with Bev and Grandpa popping round for a while, and then joined by Greg and Ethan as well. They all stayed for sometime, so managed to get a bit of quality time, and feeding time with the little guy - he just really is so cute :)

After everyone had left, myself and the folks headed round to the Brazen Head for sundowners and a couple of classic Black Label draughts. We didn't eat there, even though the food looked good, instead Greg came through and picked me up and him, myself, Kim, Leigh and Jonty headed out to Greenside to Duke's Burgers, which I had never heard of before. On a Wednesday night they do Rock Burgers which are burgers named after South African rock bands, which was a cool twist on the standard menu. They really were amazing burgers, and certainly didn't hold back on the size. For dessert, I tried the 'Brandy and Coke float' which sounded interesting, and uniquely South African.

Yesterday morning I was up at Greenstone shops and bank with dad for a while, then he dropped me off at Nic's offices which I hadn't seen. After a quick tour around there and introduction to everyone, he head out to Bedford Centre for lunch to Mugg & Bean and then from there back to the office, where I got picked up and made my way over to Greg's place for the afternoon. Ethan was awake for the most part, so was good to have him laughing and smiling away while I was there!

After the afternoon at Greg, it was off back to number 54 to pack a few things away before leaving this morning for the Pilanesberg for a few days there in the caravan, which I was so looking forward to. It's been ages since last in the bush, so glad we managed to organise a few days away there!
