On Wednesday I had tickets to the ever so popular show Phantom of the Opera. I decided I needed a bit of culture in my life so managed to grab two tickets to the show a little while ago when they were doing a GILT special - Get into London Theatre. So Uns and I headed to Her Majesty's Theatre after work in time for the show. In a single line to summarize the production - a disfigured musical genius, hidden away in the Paris Opera House, terrorizes the opera company for the unwitting benefit of a young protégé whom he trains and loves. The whole production and show were amazing, very blown away by the entire performance, however, to be honest I didn't quite get the story at the time, or even really follow what was going on. Maybe it's just me being uncultured :) Or possible just not a big of opera musicals. But still glad I've now seen it.

Thursday and Friday evenings were rather boring just at home studying for the Life in the UK test which I had booked in for Saturday morning. Wasn't really looking forward having to learn a thousand and one stats, even though it's not very difficult content, I just don't want to be the first, and only, one of my friends who have done it to have failed. That would be rather embarrassing to say the least. So after a bit of studying of Thursday night and a late one cramming on Friday night, I headed out to Wimbledon on Saturday morning for my test, and one step closer to my Indefinite leave to remain visa and ultimately my UK passport.

The test itself was actually fairly straight forward, it was all multiple choice as expected, and other than two questions which I wasn't all that confident about, the rest of them were rather basic. I wasn't even in there for very long, it took more time to register, prove my identify and have the rules explained than to actually complete the test. After submitting my answers, I waited outside until everyone was done and then one by one we were called in and given our results. Pass! That's all I needed to know, thanks for coming. Glad that's now out the way. Had a rather easy going afternoon at home, then off to the Amersham Arms yesterday for one of tasty Sunday roasts.
