Not a lot to update on from the past couple of weeks. I guess it being post Christmas, post Amsterdam birthday and now into ridiculously cold February, there's not as much happening. Well there probably is, just none of us could be bothered to do much. The Thursday previous to last was a visit to the National Theatre to see the Landscape Photography Exhibition of the Year there. It showcases a huge selection and variety of spectacular landscapes in Britain, involving both professional and amatuer photographers alike. The event itself was free, no cost at all, except it has landed up being rather pricey for me, with my photography wish-list suddenly grown substantially in size :)

Then on Friday it was work drinks over at the Swan. It was with the guys from the new email provider we were starting to work with, and as it happens with work meetings and going out, and headed there rather early and stayed on until closing. A good night out with them all, but reckon a night out too soon after Amsterdam, and the dreaded cold or flu hit me. So I had a pretty rubbish weekend after that, and didn't make it into work until Wednesday afternoon only. Just landed up spending most of that time sleeping it off. But all back on top form again now!

On Wednesday night, after suffering a bit from 'cabin fever' so to speak, I headed out with Una to Hays Galleria and grabbed dinner at Cafe Rouge. Well we had just planned to go for coffee briefly, then landed up having steak for dinner, followed by coffee and cake. Got to love impromptu steak night on a Wednesday!

Then on Thursday, the exciting news came through of an addition to the family - little Ethan was born weighing in at a very healthy 3.5 kgs. So very happy for Greg and Kim - it's sad i can't be there to share in the excitement, will have to wait until April to see him them all, especially the little guy! Congrats again to you both!!

Thursday was also Australia Day, so Luke and crowd were having a BBQ round at his place. I wasn't that bothered by a BBQ, plus Si and I still had our free Nandos half chicken voucher, so it was off there first before popping into Fish's place to say hi to the crew. We didn't stay long, wasn't that keen on being out, so after our hellos and high fives, we headed back home. Friday was just an easy evening in, then Saturday headed through to Borough Market for a walk around and then down towards Tower Bridge and into Browns by Butlers Wharf for lunch. Never been there before, had heard about it, but they certainly did a decent fish and chips I thought.

Sunday was much the same level of relaxed, with a good sleep in to start then off into town. It was the Chinese New Year celebration in Trafalgar Square, so though we'd head through and watch that. They had a small fireworks show - mainly just a few little rockets with smoke going off from the Square - I guess it's right in a fairly built up area, can't go too crazy with the explostions!

That's about it for now - a bit of this and a bit of that. But managing to keep myself as busy as I can :)
