On Friday it was Sam's birthday and her choice of venue was the Loop Bar off bond street. I wasn't all that keen on heading through, but there were a few of us who had committed on going, so after work we all met up there and it landed up being worse than we could have ever imagined. After a quick polite drink we left, and happened to bump back into Duncs and Laurie outside who had also managed their escape route. So it made sense to continue our Friday night elsewhere and headed over to the Masons Arms together with Si and Seamus for a couple there, just glad we had avoided the Loop Bar. Except when we got to Vauxhall waiting for our train, who did we land up bumping into? Yes, Sam. Well that was awkward. After a few bad excuses we got to Putney and Si, Seamus and myself decided on a quick one at the Railway before all heading home.

Then yesterday it was over to Clapham Junction and onto the Merchant to meet up with Haig who was in town for the weekend. The plan was for just a few relaxed ones over in Clapham, which is how it all started out. Stu, Alice and Warwick were also out, so was good to meet up with them again. Alice didn't stay long and left the four of us to have lunch and a few cold ones.

Later on we were joined by Si, Seamus, Paul, Carol and Laurie which is when it turned a bit for the worse. We all blame Paul for his barrage of double rum and cokes, but landed up being a bigger than expected night, leaving there around 11ish, heading back to Putney.

At Putney, we had obviously organised with Stu and a friend of his to meet at the Railway, which is exactly where we headed straight for. After a bit of time there we all called it a night, send Warwick in the general direction of South Ken, grabbed a bite from Mashawi and headed back home, none of us in any great state :)
