On Thursday afternoon Keith arrived for one of his London weekend trips. I headed home straight after work, met his at the Railway, then went past my place to drop his bags to get them out the way. We then went back to the Railway and met up with Si and Loz there a bit later. On Friday, Keith had plans to meet up with friends in Clapham, and I had one of our regular Sponge meet up nights, and was organised for us to go to Green Carnation in Soho. It was good to see everyone, every though it turned out we were in the middle of a very typical Soho-type club ie, a little bit more gay friendly than I would've liked. After catching up with everyone there, I headed down to Clapham to meet up with Keith, but didn't get there quite in time before they were closing, so met Keith and headed home instead.

On Saturday we started with a breakfast down at Cappuccino on the high street with Keith and Luke, then took a chilled walk along Lower Richmond Road alongside the rowing clubs, of which some were open and had their boats out. We hung around there sometime, then headed home, quite happy to chill out for a bit of the afternoon, plus I wanted to get my bike wheels fixed and tyres changed too. Later on, Giulz arrived, and as always, makes quite a scene on entry. We had dinner at home, Will arrived, Uns came round for a bit, and in between we decided on a few drinks, which quickly deteriorated turned into Three Man, which got out of control fairly quickly. As expected. Once we were done with the beers and Three Man, if was off down to the High Street, first to Slug and Lettuce until they closed, and then next door to Citizen Smith for some time, and then finally home.

Yesterday morning was a real early start, in time for the final. A few friends of Keith's were watching the game at Waxys in Leicester Square, so the two of us decided to brave the early start and head through there to watch it with them. Plus with them all being Kiwis, it was always going to be a good morning (assuming New Zealand won). The game itself was good, with France giving them a good run for their money, and New Zealand managing to secure an 8-7 win against the visitors, ending 24 years of hurt. So good on them, they deserved it for sure!

After the game, I left Waxys and Keith to enjoy the celebrations, and headed home, to chill on the couch in front of the TV for the afternoon. Later on Keith came by to pick up his bag and leave, and Giulz came home later in time for an FTG dinner and chilled out night at home. So a good weekend in all, just fly by too quickly these days unfortunately.
