The Monopoly Pub Crawl round number two - wasn't sure if we'd all be doing it again, but Saturday we managed to add a second tick to that point on the list. It was a pretty massive day, and a good effort by all, with more of us successfully completing it this time round. We started off nice and early on Saturday at 9am with breakfast at The Rockingham Arms outside Elephant and Castle tube station. That lined our stomachs nicely for the long day ahead. After breakfast we set off towards Old Kent Road, our first stop (and pub) of the day, and also the first stop of the actual board game.

From there, we moved along the Monopoly Board of pubs, in geographical order rather than playing order, up past Tower Bridge, towards Kings Cross and Euston, to Marylebone and then down towards the final stretch of pubs, starting from Park Lane, Piccadilly, Pall Mall and through Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Regent Street and finishing up past Bond Street at Oxford Street.

A slightly different group from the previous time we did it, with a few of us attempting it for a second time, not quite sure why!? And then there were quite a few of us who have been living in London for years and were interested in it, and also a few who had just moved over or were on holiday and had barely seen central London - so that was a good (yet crazy) introduction to what London is all about.

Putney Thai Square

The last stop of the day was at the Spread Eagle, who I'm sure were more than happy to serve us, but it did complete our pub crawl for the day. And then it was time to head back to Putney, with the suggestion of Thai Square coming up. After sometime at Thai Square, which still confuses us why they would even have let us in, we made our way home - 28 stops and about 17 hours later since we first set off. Good times indeed.

Yesterday was a day I had hoped to use to lie around the house and watch rubbish TV, instead we had our fifth and final Come Dine With Me lunch which at least was only out in Balham, so that helped a bit. After a weekend like that, I could do with a couple of days off at home to relax, but as they say, no rest for the wicked!
