So after a fair amount of window shopping and internet browsing, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a road bike, specifically the Fuji Team 2.0 2011 model. I got it on the ride to work scheme, so works out quite well in the long run, well, over 12 months that is.

I picked it up from Evans London Bridge last night and was prepared to cycle home. After not having cycled in evening traffic and not being used to a bike which weighs a fraction of my mountain bike, it was a fairly slow easy cycle home, especially trying to get used to the dropped handle bars and brakes not where I'm used to them, plus the acceleration it has without even really trying. But all good - managed without any issues. So much so that I even cycled into the office this morning... no point wasting time I guess :)
