On Friday we had our monthly work social evening, this time was an organized bbq just in the parking lot downstairs which was alright. Not much of an interest to stay on, but me and a couple of others did stop by the Brew Wharf Yard just next to the Market Porter. Was fairly quiet compared to the surrounding bars and was only when ordering at the bar did it make sense - they only had bizarre imported beers at bizarre prices, almost double the average. We stayed for a round each then I headed into Soho and met up with Si who was out with mates of his, some of them from work and friends of friends.

They were all already at the Rasa Sayang in Chinatown, which is Singapore / Malaysian cuisine restaurant, and was rather good. Probably wasn't quite necessary to eat after having had a bbq a bit earlier, but Asian food's always difficult to resist. After dinner, we headed on over to The Endurance in the bustling Berwick Street Market for a quick cold one before they closed then onto Madame Jojos. I had been there before to see Will in some or other music act on stage, but never on a Friday night. Fairly alternative music but was OK, somewhere different at least.

On Saturday, we just spent the morning round the house and then in the afternoon, Si, Jen and myself headed down to the Fox and met up with Luke to watch the FA Cup Final between Man City and Stoke. A rather average game really, but got us out the house for a bit. Afterwards I made my way through to Brixton to Claire's place for her birthday party - Drink Your Way Around The World. Everyone took something from a random country and you got to pick a name from a hat and sample their drink. Good concept and a good night, even in between the ridiculousness of Eurovision which was on in the background.

Around midnight Claire kicked us out and we all headed to the White Horse down the road, which turns into a fairly late night bar with DJ spinning some tunes. By the time that closed it made more sense getting a taxi until he broke down on Upper Richmond road. Good times... which just made it easier to walk the last stretch.

Yesterday was a good lazy day at home, starting off with Cappuccino for breakfast then a proper couch day and nothing more. But a decent Friday and Saturday night to justify being lazy today.
