Thursday evening was the beginning of the first of our two long weekends, starting with Easter weekend. After work, I headed home, dropped my bag, then made my way down to the Normanby and met up with Luke, Tom and Katie there, and joined in for a sundowner and a few games of pool, before passing by Luke's place for a bite to eat, then finally home.

Yesterday was a perfect day, in terms of weather. Sunny, warm and clear blue sky. Which fitted right into the plans of a meeting up at the Ship then a braai over at Gav's place. I met up with Tom and Katie as well as Mick and Anita down at the Ship in Wandsworth, which I had been wanted to go for ages, and eventually got around to it. However, it was packed, as expected - think most people in the area who aren't on holiday have decided to spent the day at the Ship. But we managed to get ourselves a spot and settle in nicely.

I didn't stay on too long there, I left the others to be, and made my way over to Westcombe Park to Gav's house, where the others were relaxing in the sun. There were only a few of us, so we decided to fire up the Weber and get some of the braai action happening. As before, the meat (mainly from 15) was perfectly done and cooked - a top rate meal, no complaints at all!

After a full afternoon and evening of it, we caught the last train into town, and down to Brixton and onto the Academy for another night of Hospitality, their 15th Birthday celebration in fact. The queue was insanely long, but got inside after sometime, in time for London Electricity's set, followed by High Contrast. The video below is the official video release from the night, and sums it all up quite nicely.

I decided to call it a night after watching Danny Byrd, who blew the roof off that place, and then Netsky, who was equally as impressive. I definitely think I appreciated the night more last night than before, I guess I have been listening to the albums a lot more recently. Today was just a waste of a day, didn't really get up to much, but last night made up for it, so it's all good. Hopefully tomorrow's another flawless day, got a crowd coming over for a braai and could do with a day in the garden in the sun!
