Vinopolis, under the massive Victorian arches by the Thames at Bankside, is one of the more popular wine tasting attractions, with 150 wines from all over the world and themed sections representing the regions they come from. Featured countries include: France, Italy, Australia, California, South Africa and some lesser known regions such as Thailand and China. The Vinopolis Wine Tour offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore wines and spirits of the world all under one roof.

As part of some Comic Relief for charity, Loz had organised some tickets for a wine tasting night here last night, so headed there after work and took our time wondering through the various halls and having a taste of the different wines - some great ones, and some questionable ones too. But in general, a good night there - plus I've been wanting to go there for ages now, more so now that I'm working down the road from it, but eventually managed to get there.

After the wine tasting, I headed off through to Charing Cross and up to the Jerusalem Bar nearby Goodge Street for Rachel's leaving party. We weren't there for too long before hopping in a cab and making our way down to Charing Cross to the new Players Lounge under the arches, not a big surprise there :)

As usual, always a good night with a few cheesy piano classics and good company. The mobile phone fancy dress outfit went down like a treat, with everyone having a go trying it on. Yet another bites the dust and leaving there, not too many more farewells still to attend - and no doubt they'll all involve the players lounge!
