On Friday night we had our regular Sponge catch up drinks in town, which we never got to do over the Christmas period, so middle of January seemed the next best option. I headed out first to the Founders Arm with a couple of others from work, then made my way onto the Porterhouse in Covent Garden and met up with the others there. After a couple at the Porterhouse, we took a walk down to the Players Lounge, which wasn't all that unexpected on a night out with those guys. The night was good, and it was only when everyone found out that it was my birthday at midnight when the evening changed, and the shots started coming!

Yesterday I woke up feeling worse for wear, so not a great start to my birthday. At least the day improved as it went on. By the evening, I was on top form again and headed out to Tooting for dinner with the others. We met up with everyone at the Kings Arm near Tooting Bec before making our way down to Mirsh Masala for some amazing curry. Always impressed with the deals from there. Afterwards, the remaining Putney crowd headed back and met up with Tom and Katie at the Whistle and Flute before making our way home. So at least the second half of my birthday made up for the first half :)

Today was just an easy day at home, with nothing planned other other than a sleep in, some TV and movie catching up, a house cooked meal and trying to ignore the approaching week of work after a good weekend...
