Last Saturday was just around the house and in the sun and pool during the day, then headed out to Chris' place for a braai and drinks for his birthday. Nic and Kris were there, as well as Linda and Brendon, so was really good to catch up with them again. Sunday was mom's birthday, so we had the family round to ours for a lunch time braai, then heading through to the airport to welcome Greg and Kim back from their Mauritian honeymoon. After dropping their stuff at home, we grabbed some takeaways and headed back to the folks' place for a catch up on their week away, and sounded fantastic!

On Monday, I headed round to Nic and Kris' place for coffee and a catch up with them. After a couple of hours there, popped up to Greenstone for some random pre-Xmas shopping then out for dinner with Nic, Kris, Al and Paul to Ciao Baby Cucina at Monte Casino, which has certainly had plenty of development over the last couple of years, especially the outside piazza area.

Tuesday was a bit of a tourist afternoon, with the folks and myself headed out south to Soccer City. Unfortunately they don't turn the lights on of the 'calabash' so thought we'd go past during the day to get an idea of the stadium. I can imagine how amazing it must look at night, but good enough to see during the day. After Soccer City, back to Greg's place to have a look at his wedding presents, then another braai in the evening at home... which you can never have too many of.

On Wednesday I met up with Charisse for lunch at Cafe Bugatti in Greenstone. Was good to see her again and have a proper catch up. Last January when I was out was so brief and hardly saw her, so was good to meet up and the food was tasty too. Then yesterday, up again at Greenstone, and met up with Tamsen, this time at Piatto, which overlooks the whole of the Greenstone area. I had the pepperdew rump steak, which was amazing! Then Thursday dinner I headed round to Nic and Kris and had pizza takeaways from Street Cafe just down the road. At least it's all healthy eating!

Today, been Christmas eve, seemed the best time to get some Christmas shopping day, and because I don't like leaving things to the last minute, headed up in the morning and got mostly what I needed, all in good time. Then this evening, Dale popped in for a bit and stayed for a braai, a good way to end Christmas eve!
