A rather busy weekend yet again, starting off on Friday with a beer after work before heading over to Putney High Street and meeting Si and Loz down at Preto Steakhouse for a house meal there, and being a Rodizio style Brazilian restaurant meant 'all you can eat meat' with a bit of salad on the side. Delicious.

On Saturday, after recovering from the Friday night's meal, hopped on a bus down to Parsons Green and met up with Si and his brother and friends at the Wheatsheaf for the England South Africa game, which most of us were rather nervous about after last week's performance, or lack of. But they surprised us all and came back with a good physical game and beat the English xx-xx which meant we won the serious 3-1, only losing to Scotland, of all teams!

Then after the game, back to our place to meet up with Loz who had invited Luke and Una round for the evening. The initial plan was to head down to the high street, but with the cold knocking at the front door, no one had much interest to leave, so spent the night indoors at ours. Good call I thought.

To conclude the weekend, I had tickets to see Jimmy Carr at Brixton last night, for his latest country wide tour called 'Laughter Therapy'. The last time I saw him was November last year I think when Keith and Tiff were over for the weekend, and again makes it my annual anniversary for Jimmy Carr live.

I met up with Claire beforehand at the usual 'Rest Is Noise' pub which is a standard pre Brixton meeting point, had a quick drink there and then headed over to the Academy. The show was brilliant, and nothing quite beats a good few hours of laughing, especially walking out of there with well used stomach muscles. Still without doubt my favourite comedy, both on DVD and live in person!
