Last night was Diego's 30th and he was having his celebrations at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in Soho, on Frith Street. A few of us heading over to Greek Street first to grab some dinner from Pizza Express - I had vouchers for 30p margarita pizzas for one day only, you definitely can't go wrong with 30p pizzas. After that, we made our way to Ronnie Scott's - one of the famous London Jazz Clubs and has been around since 1959 and at the current location since 1965. We weren't in the actual performance area of the club, but rather in the upstairs area, Ronnie's Bar.

As quoted off their website: "Already renowned as one of the greatest and most historic jazz clubs in the world, Ronnie Scott's has always offered the very best in live jazz music. As well as the main club, the venue's upstairs bar, known as Ronnie's Bar, enjoys considerable prestige as a classy and upmarket place to while away the evenings in style, recreating the relaxed vibe of the '50s speakeasy."

There was a Cuban jazz band playing on the stage, who were awesome to watch live. Not the traditional jazz which I had somewhat hoped for, but a more upbeat Cuban influenced style of jazz, which was different and good to watch. We left there around midnight after Diego had had enough, at which point we also lost him and the rest of us all made our way for the bus for the night trek home. But a good night with a difference.
