Yesterday morning Si and I were up early to get a bit of cycling in, despite the weather forecast for the day. We thought we'd try head out to Peaslake, near to Dorking in the Surrey Hills area, and give that a test run for a change. There aren't any trains to Coldharbour or Dorking area, so the closest was to Gomshall which is a few miles north of Peaslake itself. We met up with a couple of other guys at the station who sort of knew the area, so we followed them into Peaslake and then directed us onto the start of the trails. By then the rain had picked up and didn't look to be letting up, which made the already muddy ground even more muddy and therefore, fun.

We were out there for a good part of 4 hours and managed to find the three trails I wanted to - Barry Knows Best, The Yoghurt Pots and Telegraph Row, and made an effort to repeat them a couple of days, especially the Yoghurt Pots which is an awesome few hundred metre trail also known as the Rollercoaster, which is exactly what it's like :)

We got back to London late in the afternoon, covered head to toe in mud and eventually managed to get cleaned up and grab something to eat. And then headed straight out again up to Kings Cross to the Scala to meet up with Paul, Gav, Duncs and Oli to catch Die Antwoord live on stage. I had been looking forward to the gig for sometime now, especially after all the media hype the band's been getting over the past few months and their world tour. And for a band who just over a year ago hadn't even been heard of outside Cape Town, they managed to sell out the Scala and put on a well impressive show last night!

They played all their hits off their $o$ album - including Enter The Ninja, Why Kyk Jy, Wat Pomp and Beat Boy, plus a hand full of others. It was basically an hour show of a maniac running around on stage with Yolandi at his side and DJ Hi-Tek on the decks at the back. But still an awesome. And to sum up the gig, as mentioned in the song Enter the Ninja... "Rolling with the $O$ / High energy / Never seen zef so fresh / Uh, when we mic check / Hi-def flows best".
