Last night was another evening out with the work crew. It started off down along the river at the Founders Arms, which seems to now be our 'local' even though it isn't the nearest pub so quite some distance - at least it's a decent pub so no complaints there. Could only be better than The Hope, so it's definitely a one step up. Or three steps even.

After some time at the Founders Arms, they were starting to close or call last rounds and so while some people headed off home to get the last tube, the remaining few of us jumped in a cab and headed north up to Angel, off to Slim Jims.

Never been out that part of Angel or Islington before, and the walk there was entertaining enough looking for some made-up named pub called Krachala... something or another. Bad case of Chinese Whispers were Slim Jims became some unpronounceable pub name. But in the end we found it, and it's a late night Whisky Bar, luckily serving ginger beer and not only whisky. That closed around 3am, and after a walk to the bus, a stop by the kebab shop for cheesy chips and a wait for the first bus, took me some time to get home, but still managed a couple hours sleep before the most painful sound in the world - my alarm. But a good night indeed!
