It's true when they say it never rains but it pours. As much as no one likes saying good bye to anyone, everyone does love a good party. It's the next day which gets to you - both the hangover and the final farewell. And the best way to solve that, another farewell party. Or even better, another two.

So on Thursday night it kicked off with Tim's farewell. He's off to Canada for a snowboarding season and then down to South America. Highly jealous. We all met up at the temporary pop-up chalet at the Swissotel next to Temple for a few drinks there before heading over to the Maple Leaf in Covent Garden - all keeping within the Canada and snow theme. And from there it all started to go downhill with us progressing over to the Piano Lounge Bar under the Charing Cross arches. Always a good night out there!

After one of the longest days at work on Friday with the evening not coming quick enough, it was Thomo and Suzie's farewell down at the Rocket in Putney - so at least a bit closer to home. It was good that most of the crew turned up to bid them farewell, and since their flight was early yesterday morning, they made their way back after the meal with Tom and Katie, and the rest of us stopped by the Spotted Horse en route home to end off the night.

Yesterday was just an easy day at home, didn't have too much planned other than Kate's farewell in the evening, making that farewell three of three. Not sure how everyone timed it over the past few days, but worked out quite well to get them all sorted in one go. We started off at the Slug & Lettuce in Clapham Junction for some time and then made our way up Northcote Road to the Underdog, which always has a good vibe about it on the weekend. They stayed opened until 1 at which point we all made our way back to Kate's old place just behind the station.

We stayed on there for some time before calling it a night at which point Luke and I made our way home, all while trying to figure out the words to Kenny Rogers The Gambler. Even after some time at Luke's place, I still couldn't get the verse into my head and gave up trying, getting home about half six this morning. It may be some time until I can listen to that song again... but I have no doubt that'll I'll figure out that verse first time!
