Fleet Street, named after the River Fleet which now flows underground, was the home of the British press until the 1980s. Fleet Street is also home to the Press House Wine Bar where I met up with Tams last night for a cheese and wine evening which I had a couple of vouchers for. The place was fairly quiet, which I guess isn't unusual for a Monday, but still had a good catch up.

Afterwards, we stopped by Ye Old Cheshire Cheese just down the road, which has originally being around since 1538 and was rebuild after the Great Fire in 1666. The pub always attracts good interest due to the curious lack of natural lighting inside which generates its own gloomy charm. It was a fairly chilled night, but good for the start of a week!
