After work on Friday, I headed up to Kings Cross and caught the train from there up to Cambridge and changed there for the train to Thetford, arriving around 9pm. From there, a quick cab ride got me to the Bell Inn Hotel. After checking in, popped down to the bar for a late evening beer.
Then yesterday after breakfast and getting ready, met up with James and Laura and caught our taxi over to St Andrew's Church for Kate and Woody's wedding blessing. Their official wedding was last week in SA, so this was their UK wedding. After the wedding and some photos outside the church, we made our way to the reception which was at the nearby RAF Honington - a Royal Air Force station just south of Thetford which was apparently used as a bomber station during World War II.
The wedding was good and the reception was good fun - got to catch up with others I hadn't seen in years, plus random banter around the bar. We finished up around midnight, got fairly lost trying to get out of the airbase and then cabbed it back to the hotel.
This morning was just a good fry-up breakfast to start the morning and then the train back down to London. So overall a good weekend, as any weddings are, plus a weekend out of London which is always good fun!
