Yesterday was our company's day out the office, I guess it was a team building day away. The other office is up in Sheffield, so half way between us and them was Northampton. We left the office around 11h00 yesterday and got the bus up north, taking longer than expected with road closures and traffic, but still arriving in time for lunch. The venue was Sedgebrook Hall, a hotel and conferencing venue just north of the town, where we met up with the Sheffield staff and were divided into our teams.

The afternoon consisted of lunch, a presentation, team building activities and followed by a barbecue and drinks. In the team building, my team (of which I happened to be captain) came first with each of us getting a medal. It also happens to be my third medal in as many weeks, two for cycling and one for random team tasks. Unfortunately that may be the end of my run of medals for now.

We got back down to London around 23h00, with a few of us hopping off in Camden Town for a quick beer before the last tube. We started off at the Blues Kitchen on the high street, which had a live blues band, followed by some old school cheesy music. It was earlier than that at which I decided it would be a night bus ride home, rather than the tube. Again, my inability to "call it a night while it's still early" failed me.

Once the Blues Kitchen had closed, we tried a couple of other places before catching a cab up to Barfly, which we knew would still be open til quite late. We stayed on there a while until they closed and headed back to one of guy's at work's house, who lives around the corner in Camden, and eventually crashed there at about half four or five this morning. Good times. Don't exactly feel on top form today, but I did only get into the office at midday, so can't really complain. But it would be nice for the weekend to come around sooner than it actually will.
