This morning (and some of this afternoon) was the London Bikeathon - which is the capital's biggest charity ride and has three different routes you can select to cycle. We selected the longest of the lot - 52 miles starting off in and around the city, and then a more scenic ride out past Richmond Park and back again to Chelsea, to where originally started.
The weather today was incredibly hot, averaging about 30°C for the majority of the ride, so plenty of water and lucozade needed. Otherwise the ride was really good - we cycled in a team of five of us which made for an enjoyable, social ride around town and took abour 5 hours to complete the full route, with a few drink and food stops thrown in. After two cycling Sundays in a row - don't have any more rides booked - might try hit some off-road tracks soon and get back into that routine again!
