Hard Rock Calling (formerly Hyde Park Calling) is an annual music festival held in Hyde Park, London, which first took place back in July 2006. The music played is primarily rock music, and have had various artists over the years, and this year the headlining act was Pearl Jam - one of the big classic rock acts from back in the 90s and still just as massive.

After work yesterday I headed over to Hyde Park and met up with everyone who had been there for a while already. I originally planned to take a half day and use the afternoon to sit in the sun and watch the opening acts, but with the new job and limited leave options, just made my way there in the evening.

Pearl Jam were awesome - playing all their classics from over the past couple of decades as well as a fair selection from their new album. It also brings to an end my run of high school bands during this month - with AC/DC, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day and Pearl Jam. It's been good...
