After buying the tickets last year November, the time has eventually come round to see Green Day live in concert at Wembley Stadium - the biggest gig of their 20 year career. Before heading through to the concert, popped by Luke's house first for his birthday celebrations and bbq at his. Didn't stay too long, enough to catch up with everyone and grab a cold beer, before heading up to north London.

We arrived towards the end of the support acts, which was fine, never that big into the bands supporting the headliners and managed to weave our way towards the middle and grab a decent spot before Green Day made their entrance onto the stage.

The band played for a marathon two hour and 50 minute set last night, covering songs from almost all their eight albums over the years. And mixed up with a fair amount of pyrotechnics and shooting flames to add to their show. In between their hits, they threw in a few short covers from a range of bands, as well as getting people up from the crowd to sing parts of some songs.

It was brilliant to see a band who were so in touch and connected with the audience, really made the gig that much better. I had heard from others that Green Day are incredible live, and it certainly proved that last night. The band closed the show with 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' and 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)' which made for good song to have stuck in your head on the tube ride home!
